In 1970 I was an archeological photographer on a Hittite site in Samsat, Turkey, near Nemrud Dagh. The dig director was Theresa Goell, my father's sister. While the scientific site photography was handeled with Leicas, I shot some of my personal work with a Crown Graphic 4x5 camera and Polaroid sheet and pack film. Over the years many aged badly, and required a lot of Photoshop restoration.
