Jon Goell has been a working publications photographer since his college days in the late 1960s. While most of his professional photography assignments have been in color, some of which will be shown on this site, most of his personal images presented here are in black and white, beginning with European street work from the Sixties and Seventies. Coming soon will be additional galleries of mostly film-based work from specific personal and professional projects, such as his Urban Indian documentary from Tucson, work from Turkey, Italy, and Boston, Polaroid projects, the Holocaust Survivors “Portraits of Life” series, drawings, and more.
After three decades in business, and seeking a change of pace and purpose, Jon joined the photography faculty at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland, where he is a full professor.
